OPTION 1:
The student who would like to join the Course after 10+2 pass / Graduation / Post Graduation from any stream except Fine Arts has to undergo three stages to pursue the Company Secretaries Course i.e.
- CSEET
- Executive Programme and
- Professional Programme
OPTION 2:
The Student who would like to join the Course after passing CA/CMA finalhas to undergo two stages to pursue the Company Secretaries Course (can apply for CSEET exemption) i.e.
- Executive Programme and
- Professional Programme
NOTE:
- Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test(CSEET) can be pursued by 10+2 pass/ Graduate / Post Graduatestudents of Arts, Science or Commerce stream (Excluding Fine Arts). The Institute has stipulated examination 04 times in a financial year for CSEETaspirants. Students, who have not passed the CSEET Examination within the validity period of their registration/examination, may seek fresh registration online.
- Executive Programme (EP) can be pursued by a student who passed CA/CMA final exam or cleared CSEET.
- Professional Programme (PP)can be pursued only after clearing the Executive Programme of CS Course.
- Maximum time period between EP and PP examinations: There is no maximum time period between CSExecutive and CSProfessional.But following criteria has to be followed:-

After clearing CSEET your registration number is valid for the period of 5 years. After that you can go for De-novo which is valid for further period of 05 years. |
Registration De-novo can be sought on a continuous basis unlimited number of times, provided the same are sought within the stipulated period. |

Admission to the CS course:
It is open throughout the year. Examinations are held 04 times in a year i.e. May, July, November & January for CSEET. And examinations are held 02 times in a year i.e. June & December for CSEP & CSPP.Students have to register online at ICSI website

Examination:
- Examination is conducted twice a year in June and December for CSEP aspirants
- Examination fee for CSEP is Rs. 1200/- per module.
- Last date for submission of application for appearing in the CSEP & CSPP examination:
- 25th March (with late fee of Rs. 250/- till 9th April)
- 25th September (with late fee of Rs. 250/- till 10th October) - Medium of Examination: English as well as in Hindi
- Qualifying Marks: A candidate is declared to have passed the CS Executive examination, if he/she secures at one sitting a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and 50% marks in the aggregate of all subjects (module wise).
- Time limit for completing CS Examination:
- A student is required to complete the Executive and the Professional examination within the registration period.
-However, on payment of requisite fees the validity of registration may be renewed / extended for further period subject to fulfilling the applicable guidelines.
MODIFIED TRAINING STRUCTURE FOR THE STUDENTS OF COMPANY SECRETARYSHIP COURSE EFFECTIVE FROM 2020:
The Council, with the approval of Central Government and after following the due process, is publishing a Notification in the Gazette of India. The Notification has amended the Company Secretaries Regulations, 1982 to modify the training structure for the students of Company Secretaryship course.
The brief details of the earlier training structure and the modified training structure is as under:
